The Village House bed & breakfast accommodation is nestled in the historic heart of Gabian. This picturesque and rustic village surrounded by vineyards and the open countryside of the garrigue sits at the foothills of the high Languedoc Natural park between mountains and Mediterranean.

bedroom one - The classically styled master bedroom is at the front of the house with private landing and master bathroom. The room's balcony overlooks the historic fountain in Place Vieille.

bedroom two - This contemporary style double room with ensuite shower room is at the rear of the house and looks out to the sunny garden terrace.

The Village House bed & breakfast accommodation, a restored 'maison de village', is nestled in the historic heart of Gabian. Entering into the shade of the internal courtyard there is direct access to the first floor guest terrace, sunny and bright, perfect for taking breakfast and a siesta in secluded peace and privacy. From the terrace there is access to the two guest bedrooms also on the first floor.

Attractions

This charming and rustic village is at the meeting point of two rivers surrounded by vineyards and the open countryside of the garrigue.With its natural spring water fountains this picturesque and lively working village with grocery, post office, baker, newsagent, bar/cafe and pharmacy makes an ideal base for enjoying the urrounding varied landscapes either by car, foot, bicycle or horse. For swimming, either the local lakes, swimming pools or of course the Mediterranean. The Royal Priory of Cassan, now named the Castle-abbey of Cassan, a classified historical monument founded in 1080 AD, sits on a hill overlooking the village.

Within easy reach are the Natural Park, the fine sand beaches of the Mediteranean, the historic and artisan town of Pezenas and the lively and interesting city of Beziers. The area is renowned for its seafood and shellfish that can be enjoyed in the local restaurants.

The Languedoc region offers a wide variety of landscapes, from the Pyrenees in the west, through vineyards and the garrigue to the expanse of the mediterranean coastline. The landscape and climate make this region the largest wine producing area in France.

There are many choices of places to visit such as the Canal du Midi, the ancient port of Sete, the cosmopolitan city of Montpellier, the historic city of Nimes and World Heritage site of the Pont du Gard, the fortified cities of Carcassonne or Aigues-Mortes or picturesque sites like St Guilhem le
Desert. With easy access to airports, railway and autoroutes, Gabian is the perfect location for a visit in any season.
