La Thiaumèrie is a traditional Norman-style stone farmhouse, set on a hillside overlooking the hamlet of St Louet sur Vire. We have just under half an acre of gardens, with many nooks and crannies to sit and enjoy the peace and tranquility of your surroundings. For the more energtic we have boules and in the summer months outdoor table tennis, which is always very popular with our younger guests.

We are well situated to visit many of Normandy’s famous tourist sites such as Mont St Michel, Bayeux, the D-Day landing beaches, Deauville and Trouville.

We have three double en-suite rooms, one of which has a further twin-bedded room attached, making it perfect as a family suite. All rooms are comfortably furnished with full size chests of drawers and wardrobes. The larger of our rooms also has a settee by the window overlooking our courtyard garden. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers.

We offer evening meals to our guests, 4 courses plus aperatif, wine and coffee for 28€ per person or 3 courses for 24€. A two course meal can be ordered for children under 11 for 10€.

Attractions

Within 2km of La Thiaumerie is an equestrian centre which welcomes horse-riders of all ages and levels. We can book a lesson or an hour's ride in the countryside and all riding equipment is supplied.

There is also canoe and kayak trips on the river Vire, only 5km away and we will make you a packed lunch if you wish to enjoy this day long or half day adventure.

Slightly further afield there are several excellent golf courses, including the World famous Omaha Beach golf course, green fees are considerably cheaper than the UK and we are happy to make bookings in advance for our visitors.

We are also close to the Souleuvre Viaduct where the braver amongst you may like to try bungy-jumping!

We are unable to accept credit cards. We take euro cheques or cash. We ask for a 50% deposit for bookings of up to 3 days and 30% deposit for longer stays. Deposits are accepted in either sterling cheques, euro cheques or online banking.
